On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport our captain driver will pick you and then he transfers to Speke Hotel 1996 Ltd which is located in the heart of Kampala for dinner and overnight stay. The historic hotel features 3 specialty restaurants, conference facilities and is 1 km away from Uganda Golf Club. Each room here will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and a seating area. Extras include satellite channels. Rock Garden Cafe offers a daily à la carte menu of both Continental and African dishes while Khyber Pass Restaurant focuses on Indian cuisine. On your next morning after having a cup of cup plus some snacks, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and you will use the Masaka road where by you will have an enroute stopover at the equator in order to have some refreshments and also buying some snacks and then continue to Mbarara city where you will have your enroute lunch at silverback hotel Mbarara. After lunch then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Reaching in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check in Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge boasts eight spacious cottages built from volcanic stone and its located in south part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters with a picnic lunch for briefing by the senior park ranger guide. Here you will be divided into small groups of 8 members in order to avoid crowdness in the jungle and also to help in saving time. Enter the forest and enjoy its exquisiteness and novelty being home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Proceed through the dense vegetation to trek for these endangered primates depending on where they built their nest the previous night. For conservation purposes, time allowed with the Mountain Gorillas is one hour. Observe the giants as they feed, groom the young, make love and play. If time allows, after gorilla trekking, you may take a community visit as you experience the life style of the Batwa communities. Visit a traditional herbalist, black smith and a local brewery to see how beer is brewed using local methods. Then get back to the lodge for diner and overnight stay:
The next morning after having your breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will be through the country side passing through traditional homesteads and farms. Continue on to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the southern part of the park (Ishasha sector) as you look out for the tree climbing lions resting in the fig trees. You may as well be pleased by the sight of cobs, water bucks and other antelopes grazing in the Ishasha plains. Have lunch and carry on to the upper part of the park with an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Parkview safari lodge.
Take a morning game drive to catch up with the early raisers like the leopard, lion, spotted hyena among others. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s miscellaneous ecosystem of lush plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an implausible profusion of wildlife. As you take the Kasenyi trail, watch out for buffalos, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, topis, kobs, waterbucks, bush bucks, bush duikers among others. Also, to expect is an astonishing bird life that includes the martial eagle, the Woodland kingfisher, the great blue turaco, the grey plantain eater among about the 600 species recorded in the park. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast as your also waiting for dinner.
After lunch go for the afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is a home of a variety of water birds including the African Fish eagle, the African Skimmer, pelican, the antediluvian looking shoe bill and on a hot day, hippos, elephants, buffaloes and waterbucks can be viewed as they bathe and drink water at the water edge.
Crocodiles are common inhabitants and are habitually sighted along the channel banks. After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After your tranquil breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale forest national park eminent for its highest population of primates in Africa and home to the Chimpanzees.
You will pass through Kasese as you enjoy the appealing sight of the Rwenzori glacial peaks’ well decorating the sky line’s back ground and arrive in Kibale in time for lunch. You will check-in Crater Safari lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a nature walk through Bigodi wetland for primates like colobus monkeys and other small mammals like otters that live in the swamp. You may also be lucky to see some rare and colorful birds which boast bird watching in the sanctuary.
Have an early morning breakfast and head out to the Kibale national park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the senior park guide. Guiding will be done in groups of 6 members. Go on to trek man’s closest relative of all the apes in this cosmic forest. You are likely to come across other primates like olive baboons, bonbons, red colobus, black and white colobus, red and blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey among others as well as a wide miscellany of birds. You maybe told to return back to the headquarters to get your chimpanzee trekking certificates.
If you have time, you may take an optional evening visit to the crater lakes of Ndali. Return for an overnight at your lodge.
The next morning you will check out at the lodge after your breakfast as you drive back to Kampala through Mubende. You may take an optional visit to Nakayima tree which is believed to be the house for a goddess Nakayima and her spirits and some locals go to seek their favor. Then proceed with an en route lunch in Mityana or Kampala depending on where time for lunch will find you. Upon arrival in Kampala, transfer to the airport arriving in time for your departure flight or check in Serena hotel to prepare for your morning flight.
