This East Africa safari will take you to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The trip will take you through different national parks of the three countries and you enjoy activities such as boat cruise, gorilla trekking, game drives among others. Below is a sample of how your safari can be conducted;
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative and get ready to be transferred to Jacaranda hotel to enjoy your leisure time as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.
The next morning after having breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Nakuru National Park and on your arrival, you will check in Lake Nakuru lodge for lunch and resting. After lunch you will for a game drive to search for wildlife. Animals in Lake Nakuru national park include rhinos (black and white rhinos), Rothschild giraffes, cape buffaloes, olive baboons, impalas, water bucks, hippos, colobus monkeys, spotted hyenas, zebras, gazelles, leopards, lions, pythons among others. After game drive, you will drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
In the morning you will get ready to depart to Maasai Mara National Park. Upon your arrival, you will check in Mara Simba Lodge for lunch and relaxing. After having some leisure time, you will go for a game drive which starts at around 04 pm where you spot the big five such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants and some other animals such impalas, duikers, hartebeests, roan antelopes, zebras, giraffes, topi, wildebeest, and Thomson’s gazelles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
The next morning you can choose to go for Hot air Balloon Safaris and this is done very early in the morning. During this activity you can be able to view Mara’s spectacular landscape and the incredible wildlife it shelters. You can also enjoy the magnificent aerial views of wildebeest herds as well as herds of buffaloes, elephants and birds of prey such as eagles. Hot air balloon activity costs $ 450 per person. Later end the activity with a bush breakfast. Return to the lodge.
After having your lunch, you can choose to go for a Maasai community visit where you will interact with the Masai people. They will invite you into their humble mud and stick manyatta (homesteads) and reveal their pastoral world and ancient, time-honored traditions. On your community you will enjoy some welcome cultural dances from the local people. You will later return to the lodge after having fun to get ready for dinner.
Wake up on a cup of coffee and get ready for Nairobi transfer. You may have a brief stopover at the view point to marvel at the scenic beauty of the great rift valley and later continue with your journey. Upon your arrival in Nairobi, you will go for a mouthwatering barbecue lunch at the famous carnivore restaurant. After lunch you will proceed to Jacaranda hotel for leisure, dinner and overnight stay.
The next day you will have to fly to Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will connect with our company representative in Tanzania who will transfer you to Meru Hotel to have some meals as you wait for dinner and overnight stay in the same hotel.
The following morning after having your breakfast, the driver will pick you to start your journey to Lake Manyara National Park via Arusha. Reaching Lake Manyara National Park, you will have your picnic meal and set off for an afternoon game drive. Afternoon game drives are good for exploring different parts of Lake Manyara National Park and for enjoying the scenery around the park as well as taking amazing pictures of attractions as well as driving following different routes and this will give you a feeling of a true African safari.
Wildlife species which can be seen during game drives in Lake Manyara national park include elephants, buffaloes, klipspringers, zebras, warthogs, hippos, antelopes among others. You will later check in Kirurumu Manyara Lodge for refreshing as well as dinner and overnight stay.
Have breakfast and depart for Serengeti National Park with a game drive and picnic lunch en-route. Later on in the afternoon, take a short game drive in Serengeti National Park where you will spot wildlife such as lions, leopards, rhinos, Kudu, hippos, giraffe, cheetah among others. Check in Serengeti Sopa Lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight stay.
The following day you will rise early for a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. After lunch you will depart to Ngorongoro crater rim with a stopover for a game drive en-route. Upon arrival, you will check in Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.
The following day you can hike empakaai crater and this may take a full day. The hike will take you around the beautiful forests surrounding the crater to the birdlife of the impressive stranglehold figs. You will have a picnic lunch at hippo pool picnic site. After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
The next morning you will check out the hotel and embark on your journey to Arusha city where you get some snacks and later head to Kilimanjaro International Airport so that you can fly to Uganda. Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will connect with our company representative (driver) who will transfer you to Kampala Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up on the cup of tea and get ready to embark on your journey Kibale National Park. From the hotel you will be picked by your driver. You may arrive in Kibale National Park during lunch hours and you will have a stopover in fort portal to have your delicious meals and also visit the Mabere Ganyiramwiru caves before proceeding to your lodge in Kibale National Park. You will check in Kyaninga lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast you to the information center with your packed food and water to be briefed about the rules and regulation followed on chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing, meet your guide and enter the rain forest to start searching for chimpanzees. This may take you about 2-5 hours before seeing them. After seeing them, you will be given 1 hour to stay with them in their natural habitat and also take some pictures for memories.
After trekking, you will return to the lodge to have some refreshments and after go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary. The wetland is endowed with a variety of bird species such as blue turaco, kingfishers, weavers, papyrus gonolek, wax bills, horn bills, cuckoos among others and hence making it a perfect place for bird watching. The wetland also has a variety of mammal and primate species and do not miss to visit in on your tour to Kibale National Park. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival you will check in Kyambura Gorge Lodge to keep your luggage and later proceed to Kasenyi plains for a game drive where you will spot animals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes among others. Return to the lodge for lunch.
After enjoying your lunch, go for your boat trip along the Kazinga channel where you will spot hippos and Nile crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. A boat cruise on Kazinga channel is one of the most amazing experiences you will have on your safari to Uganda. This boat cruise is roughly a 2 hours ride and brings you closer and contact in with a lot of wildlife and bird species.
After breakfast early in the morning, you will drive to Ishasha sector for a game drive and here you may be lucky to see the rare climbing lions in the fig trees. You will have your en-route lunch and later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
The next morning after having your breakfast, you will head to the head office for the briefing about gorilla trekking rules and regulations with your packed lunch. After briefing, you will enter the jungle to start searching for these giants and after coming up close to them you will be give about 1 hour to watch them feeding, playing in their natural habitat and you will also get a chance of taking some videos and pictures for memories.
The trek may take about 5-6 hours and later you may return to head office in case your told to do so to get you trekking certificate. Return to the lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner.
In the morning you will be transferred back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara where you will have your lunch at Igongo and head to Equator to have some refreshments plus taking pictures and then proceed to Kampala (Entebbe International Airport) to catch up with your flight and this will mark your Uganda safari.
