Upon arrival in Tanzania on your 09 days migration safari, you may decide to explore Arusha city. Arusha is the tourist capital of Tanzania and acts as a base camp for exploring most of the Northern Safari Circuit. The city connects to Tanzania’s most famous safaris such as hiking and trekking destinations including Mt. Kilimanjaro, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, Arusha National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park.
When you arrive in Arusha, you will first check-in at your booked hotel for some snacks and also freshening up and later proceed to the city to check on the busy marketplaces, coffee shops, numerous restaurants, cultural museums, art galleries and lively nightclubs.
If you still have time, you can proceed to Meserani Snake Park which is a short drive from Arusha. The park is home to numerous species of snakes and other reptiles and there is also a small Masai Museum where you can learn about the culture and history of the region. After having long hours of exploring Meserani Snake Park, you can return to your accommodation facility for dinner and sleepover.

On your 2nd day, you can dive into Arusha National Park for game drives. Even though this park is smaller than other national parks in Tanzania, it is home to some truly incredible species including buffaloes, zebras, elephants, giraffes, leopards, hippos, monkeys, and plenty of bird species among others.
On a 4×4 vehicle, you can be able to enjoy the wildlife and scenic views clearly. A game drive allows you to follow the trails through the open savannah grasslands and visit further reaches of the park including Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater.
During the game drive, you can get a chance of witnessing the breathtaking wildlife including hippos, giraffes, zebras and many types of primates. The game drive may last for about 4 hours and later you return to the lodge for lunch and freshening up.
In the evening you may pay a visit to the cultural heritage center to learn more about the art, history, and tribal culture of the natives. You can have your dinner at Georges Tavern because it offers delicious food and a variety of cuisines at reasonable prices and later return to your lodge for sleepovers.
On your 3rd day, you will set off to Lake Manyara National Park after having your breakfast. The drive to Lake Manyara National Park is scenic and the roads are great which makes the journey or traveling smooth. After a short drive of about 2 hours, you will see the stunning Lake Manyara.
The lake is massive, covering a large area of the park and is teemed with a lot wildlife. Here you can see large flocks of flamingos, yellow-billed storks and even pelicans along with the mysterious tree-climbing lions of the region perched above the branches of fig and mahogany trees.
Even though the park is not all that large, it has a diverse ecosystem packed full of animals and birds. While in the park, you can spot a number of animals such as elephants, hippos, buffaloes, wildebeest, and plenty of baboons and giraffes while on a game drive. You can have a picnic lunch within the park and later continue with your adventure.
After a full day of enjoying the beauty of the surrounding wilderness, you can head to your booked accommodation for check-in, have dinner and sleep.

The 4th day will be for transferring to Ngorongoro conservation area (Ngorongoro crater). Early in morning, have breakfast and check-out at the lodge so that you can get ready for the journey.
The drive to the crater may take about 2-3 hours and as you get closer to the crater rim, you will view the stunning and breathtaking beauty of the landscape.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the best place in Africa where you can witness all the “Big 5” in one place or in a single day and is also a home to the semi-nomadic Maasai people. This vast crater is made of lakes, marshes, swamps, grasslands and wooded areas simply overflowing with wildlife.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of Tanzania’s most visited destinations. It is home to the world’s largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. You can decide to have your picnic lunch at a viewpoint where you can be able to see the entire caldera from above.
After lunch, you can go on a game drive through the crater. On the game drive you will be able to see a lot of wildlife and flora such as Zebras, African buffaloes, gazelles, lions, hippos, elephants, hyenas, leopards, numerous species of birds, plant species among others. On a lucky day, you can also come across black rhino in the evergreen terrain.

On the 5th day, this day will be for transferring from crater to Serengeti National Game Park. You a relaxed morning(breakfast), check-out the lodge and get ready for the day.
On your way, you can again try to trek rhinos since the previous day you did not get a chance of seeing them. Using your binoculars, you will encounter various bird species such as Flamingos, pelicans, heroes, ibises, ostriches, crown cranes, Kori bustards, secretary birds, hammerkops and many others.
You can have your picnic lunch close to Lake Magadi which is surrounded by wildlife and so you can eat while enjoying the views. After lunch you can proceed with your journey to Serengeti National Park and upon arrival, you will just check-in at the lodge for dinner and sleepovers.

On the 6th day, wake up early in the morning, enjoy a delicious continental breakfast and then head out to Serengeti National Game Park for a game drive that will take you up close to the Africa’s most amazing animals such as Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, zebras and wildebeest and many other animals.
Since these animals are always on the move, a game drive is the best way to cover vast terrain and find those vast herds of zebras and wildebeest. Once you find the prey, the large predators are not too far away. On a lucky day, you can even witness a pride of lions hunting down large prey.
While in the park, you can also witness the great migration of the wildebeest as they are crossing the Mara River and that will happen only when you visit the park during the season as these animals move to search for water. Have your picnic lunch and later return to the accommodation facility for dinner and overnight stay.
The 7th day will be for driving back to Arusha. After having breakfast, you will check-out the lodge and later meet your driver to embark on your journey back to Arusha.
On your way back, you may have a stopover at Olduvai Gorge, the ‘Cradle of Mankind’, and visit the museum overlooking the gorge. You may also come across a lot of records of human fossils and these fossils give a clear picture of human life. The rich history of the Serengeti land will open your eyes and also help you to build a deeper spiritual connection with the people leaving on the land you have explored.
On the way, you will have another stopover in order to enjoy lunch and later proceed to Arusha where you may even arrive in the late evening. Upon arrival, you will check in at your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Arusha has a number of accommodation facilities where you can stay and some of them include; Gran Melia Arusha, Arusha Coffee Lodge, Onsea House, Machweo Retreat and many more lodges.
The 8th day, you will wake up, freshen up, take breakfast, check-out at the lodge and then embark on your journey to Kilimanjaro National Park. The drive to Kilimanjaro may last for about 3 hours with a couple of stopovers. On the way, you may have a trek to Mandara Hut which may take about 3-4 hours.
At Mandara Hut you can rest up, have a delicious lunch and enjoy panoramic views of Tanzania’s stunning landscape. Then you will continue trekking to Maundi Crater for some more amazing views and wildlife experiences. The day ends with an easy 2-hour trek back down to Marangu Gate the entrance of Kilimanjaro Park where your ride awaits.
In evening, you will check-in at your booked lodge near Kilimanjaro International Airport for dinner and overnight stay.
